Located at LA Mart in downtown Los Angeles, Los Angeles Makerspace is described as “a non-profit community space for makers of all ages to work on projects and take classes in software, hardware, electronics, robotics, art, filmmaking, bio-tech, eco-tech, wearable-tech and more…” This family friendly “innovation hub” recently started a campaign on Kickstarter to raise funds to buy 3D printers, a laser cutter, and more. We have written about a similar San Francisco Bay Area-based space for makers of all ages in the post, Hacker Scouts, An Open Lab for Maker Kids at Ace Monster Toys.
