River Cleaning Billboard

To promote their line of natural personal care products, Japanese brand Shokubutsu Hana has created a novel living billboard in the severely polluted Pasig River in the Philippines that helps clean the river. The billboard, bearing the tag “Clean River Soon,” is made of vetiver, a type of grass that is used for treating wastewater. Shokubutsu Hana estimates the billboard cleans between 2,000 and 8,000 gallons of water per day. The ad campaign was created by Manila ad agency TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno.
