‘Lame Claim to Fame’, An Original Song About People With Tenuous Connections to Celebrities by ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic

“Weird Al” Yankovic has released a music video for his song “Lame Claim to Fame”, an original song about people with tenuous connections to celebrities. The song doesn’t directly parody any particular song, but the look of the video and sound of the song appear to have been influenced by the band Southern Culture On The Skids. The stop-motion animated video follows Yankovic as he discusses a number of ways in which he is sort of, kind of, connected to a celebrity.

“Lame Claim to Fame” is off Yankovic’s new album, Mandatory Fun, which released on July 15th. The album is currently available via Amazon.
