Kings & Queens, Kelly Tunstall & Ferris Plock at Stussy SF

Kings & Queens

Kelly Tunstall and Ferris Plock have joined forces for “Kings & Queens”, an art show featuring new work of theirs which takes place at Stussy SF. The show opens this Saturday, December 29th at 7pm and runs through February 15th.

Stussy SF presents an all new body of work by San Francisco artists Kelly Tunstall & Ferris Plock. In this exhibit, the multiple meanings of the symbols and characters found on common playing cards are explored. In keeping with the style of the western traditional suits (aces, diamonds, hearts, and jacks) the work is highly stylized and highly contrasting in color. However, these new works once again display alternately elegant and humorous figures that are characteristic of Tunstall and Plock personal styles.

Last week Fecal Face did a studio tour to check out some of the new art that Kelly and Ferris have been creating for the show. Looks like some great stuff.

Speaking of Ferris, he recently created a wonderful Laughing Squid illustration for our back page ad of the current issue of Hi Fructose Magazine.
