Kalt Sensor, A Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer for Smartphones and Tablets

The Kalt Sensor is an infrared thermometer developed by Ohio-based engineering team Robogaia Industries that will bring non-contact temperature sensing to iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. The device, which is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter, plugs into the headphone jack of mobile devices and uses a sensor to read the infrared energy emitted from an object without having to touch it.
