Mystery Science Theater 3000 creator Joel Hodgson has announced the new cast of the show including Felicia Day who will be playing Kinga Forrester, the new “Mad” and daughter of Dr. Clayton Forrester, the show’s original antagonist. She gave a brief interview about the new role on her site Geek & Sundry.
Day will be joined by comedian Jonah Ray as the new host of the show who will be subjected to terrible movies with the help of his new robot friends Baron Vaughn and Hampton Yount as the voices of Tom Servo and Crow T. Robot respectively.
The show will be returning through a Kickstarter campaign, which has already reached its initial goal to produce three new episodes, with stretch goals that could see as many as 12 new installments in the series being produced.
