On Monday, October 29, 2012, late night talk shows had to decide whether to forge ahead and tape their shows or cancel, due to warnings being put out not to go outside and most transit systems being shut down in New York thanks to Hurricane Sandy. Both Jimmy Fallon and David Letterman decided to do their shows without an audience and made the best of the entire situation.
