With the help of wooden frames, farmers in Ehime Japan have created a five-sided version of the iyokan citrus fruit as a good luck charm for students taking entrance exams. The fruit is said to be more sour than an orange, but sweeter than a grapefruit and its name, “Gokaku no Iyokan”, which translates to “the sweet smell of success in exams”, is certainly a very fitting sentiment.
