JamStack, An Ingenious Smartphone-Integrated Portable Amp That Attaches Directly Onto a Guitar

Canadian musician Christopher Prendergast has created the JamStack, an ingeniously handy lightweight amp that easily attaches directly onto the strap button of any electric guitar or bass (except Flying V‘s) and integrates with most smartphones to provide 10-watts of fully amplified sound. The JamStack works with existing apps as AmpliTube and AmpKit to record tracks, create effects and maintain balance. The weight of the JamStack is negligible, “less than the weight difference between a Fender Stratocaster and a Gibson Les Paul“. Prendergast is currently raising funds through Kickstarter in order to bring the JamStack to market.

The JamStack is the world’s first attachable guitar amplifier that connects effortlessly in seconds to the base of your electric guitar. It is lightweight, sounds incredible, and connects to any smartphone to open up an unlimited world of effects. …Whether you’re jamming in the park, practicing in your apartment, or at your cottage, the JamStack is designed to be taken anywhere and everywhere. …We need you to help us free the electric guitar by funding the tooling and the first manufacturing run. Your support helps get us off the ground and we hope will help inspire guitar owners to play more often and create amazing music.
