On a recent episode of the Late Show, actor James Franco jokes around with host David Letterman while trying to explain why he posted a nearly nude selfie on Instagram. Franco explains that, “Instagram isn’t something I put a lot of thought into,” and that he posts selfies because that’s what the fans respond to. He also brought up the almost-nude cover of Rolling Stone magazine featuring actor Neil Patrick Harris.
