I’mOK iPhone App Encourages Kids to Keep in Touch with Their Parents

I’mOK is a location-based service for iPhone that helps parents monitor the whereabouts and activities of their children. Every time a child checks in with the app, they are rewarded with points that can be exchanged for parent-supplied perks such as TV time or allowance money. I’mOK is now accepting requests to join its private beta.

Getting a text from your kids is fine. But wouldn’t you like to know more about where your children are, who they’re with, and what they’re doing?

I’mOK is a mobile app that rewards your kids for taking responsibility for staying connected.

By sharing their location, taking pictures, tagging friends, and telling you what’s up, your kids earn points that can be exchanged for things you’ve agreed to, like spending money or special privileges.
