‘Imagination’, A Trippy Short Stop-Motion Film That Captures the Innocent Playfulness of Childhood

Imagination” by PermaGrin is a wonderfully trippy stop-motion film that calls back to the childish world of innocent playfulness. Perfectly set against a cover of the classic Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory song “Pure Imagination“, the colors, textures and frenetic movement of the film seem capture a world that was somehow left the past.

As children, we viewed the world through the lenses of our imaginations. The carpet became lava, the shadows formed monsters, the family minivan was a spaceship. But the older we got, the more reality set in, and soon we forgot the magic our minds could create. We invite you to step back into your childhood and take a look through the lens once again..

Director Marc Donahue provided some lovely behind-the-scenes footage showing what went into the making of this film.
