Open the Portal animation studio in Los Angeles worked with tattoo artist Sean Arnold of Bob & Charlie Roberts World-Famous Spotlight Tattoo to create “Human Zoetrope,” a 24 frame animated tattoo that was brought to life with the use of a classic rotoscoping animation technique. Eadweard Muybridge‘s famous early experiments in motion photography heavily influenced Open the Portal‘s fantastic video experiment.
