How to Make a Fake Google Driverless Car

At the “F.A.T. Gold” show in April, the Free Art & Technology collective unveiled a fake Google driverless car, complete with a mock lidar sensor on the roof. They then drove the car on the streets of New York City, much to the confusion of pedestrians and motorists. For anyone interested in making their own fake Google driverless car, Randy Sarafan has posted an Instructables tutorial on how to 3D print a fake lidar (or “LieDar”) sensor. Back in 2010, F.A.T. also made a fake Google Street View car.
