Gorgeous Multilayered Panoramic Glass Sculptures That Capture the Distinct Personalities of Places Around the World

Artisans Lucie Boucher and Bernie Huebner of Stone Ridge Glass in Waterville, Maine have created a gorgeous line of Glasscapes, three-dimensional, multi-layered glass panoramic sculptures that capture the distinct personality of the subject. Being that each piece is handmade, many of the sculptures can be customized with removable pieces.

Glasscapes are a unique cross between high-end art glass and light sculpture. Many of the designs are interactive, with fully manipulable glass sets. …Design work is the most fun, of course, especially when moving into uncharted territory such as Glasscapes. The consensus view is that flat-lapping (beveling and polishing glass edges on successively finer gauge diamond discs and cerium oxide felts) is not as much fun.
