Giant Slug Sculptures Made Out of 40,000 Plastic Bags

Slow Slugs

Artist Florentijn Hofman used 40,000 plastic bags to build two gigantic slugs in Angers, France for his 2012 outdoor installation “Slow Slugs.” Hofman installed the 60-foot-long multicolored slugs on a staircase leading to a church—signifying, according to Hofman, “their slow crawl towards death.”
