Giant Ghostly Bird Sculptures Made of Wire

Le Désir et la Menace by Cedric Le Borgne

In Cédric Le Borgne’s recent installation “Le Désir et la Menace,” two giant ghostly songbirds were installed in trees high above a street in Geneva. The bird sculptures were made of wire, rendering them nearly transparent during the day. But at night, spotlights illuminated the birds to dramatic effect. The sculptures were part of the 2012 Festival Arbres en lumière, a winter tree lighting festival in Geneva.
