The 2012 documentary Chasing Ice by director Jeff Orlowski captured the largest glacier calving ever filmed. On May 28, 2008, the Ilulissat Glacier in Western Greenland broke apart in a historic ice calving that saw the glacier recede a full mile in just 75 minutes.
