First and Final Frames, The Opening and Closing Shots of 55 Different Films Played Out Side by Side

“First and Final Frames” is a supercut by Baltimore-based filmmaker Jacob T. Swinney that juxtaposes the opening and closing shots of 55 different films side by side from modern works like The Master to classics such as 2001: A Space Odyssey. Some are strikingly similar, others clearly note the progress of characters over the course of the film, and others still are just powerful images intended to evoke something in those watching.
