Fight For Your Right Revisited by The Beastie Boys + New Album

The brand new Beastie Boys album Hot Sauce Committee Part Two is now available for pre-order and they’ve also made a 30-minute star-studded comedy film to go with it called Fight For Your Right Revisited. This is their first album since 2007’s Grammy-winning all-instrumental The Mix-Up.

The film was written and directed by Beastie Boy Adam Yauch (aka MCA) and the trailer finds the band rapping like in days of old on the new song Make Some Noise. The trailer and film also feature lots of breaking glass, flying beer, and Elijah Wood, Danny McBride, Seth Rogen, Will Ferrell, John C Reilly, Jack Black, Will Arnett, and way more other awesome people than I can list here (warning that clicking that cast list might be considered a spoiler, you may just want to wait and see for yourself).

You can also hear Make Some Noise on their blog, posted earlier this week.

More details on pre-ordering the new album (especially those looking for the vinyl version):

Every pre-order includes an exclusive, instant download of Make Some Noise (Passion Pit Remix). Digital downloads will be delivered via email at 12am ET on May 3. Physical packages will ship for delivery by May 3 EXCEPT for packages that contain vinyl:

“Good people, please note, not unlike birthing a baby, or baking a batch of cookies, or picking grapes for wine, sometimes things need just a little bit more time to cook to come out just so. So our deluxe vinyl’s maturity date will be slightly different then the other formats. But please know that our corps. of engineers and experts have been on this, making sure the wait is worth it and that I can personally tell you that in my humble opinion, the test pressing of the vinyl sounded banging on my home hi fi.” – Mike D
