Kenny Mayne, host of the ESPN series Kenny Mayne’s Wider World of Sports, traveled to Shannonvale, Ireland for a 2011 segment highlighting the traditional sport of Irish road bowling. Mayne followed a match between two men who competed by throwing iron balls along a 1.25 mile segment of road with the goal of reaching the finish line with the fewest throws.
