Daniel Barassi of Brat Productions has mashed together the audio from “Easy” by The Commodores with “Just Like Heaven” by The Cure – two very different songs from two very different music genres – that come together seamlessly, as if they were made for one another. The song is also available to download in MP3 and FLAC formats
If I ever come up with an actual idea for this mashup, then I will upload something better. This generic video is simply to provide people with a streaming video media solution to spread the word about the mix, rather than relying on someone else to upload a sub-par video. …As people have been rediscovering this mashup, sadly through a fan uploaded video (not made by me) put up on YouTube, I have gone and re-uploaded the mashup, now remastered! A cleaner MP3, and a FLAC (!!!) file, are now available! Mashup first published: October 28th, 2008. Mashup re-uploaded (remastered – sound quality improved, but mashup NOT changed): August 2nd, 2015.
The mashup was so natural that musician R10pez10 performed an acoustic piano version of the combination song in 2012, something that Barassi really appreciated.
