Duck Lanes Installed on Towpaths Along Waterways in England for Safety Awareness Campaign

Towpaths in London, Birmingham, and Manchester recently got a new paint job with the addition of duck lanes. The Canal & River Trust—a charity group that cares for 2,000 miles of waterways in England and Wales—had the lanes painted as part of their Share the Space, Drop your Pace campaign to raise awareness of safety on crowded paths that host pedestrians, cyclists, and wildlife alike. While the duck lanes are only temporary, it appears some waterfowl have already taken to the new lanes like a… duck to water.
