Deep Sea Diving Scientists Discover Truly Unique Marine Life Off of Johnston Atoll

NOAA scientists exploring the reaches of the deep Pacific Ocean off of Johnston Atoll returned with absolutely amazing images of truly unique marine life. This included an itty bitty jellyfish, predatory tunicates, a translucent sea cucumber, a snailfish and a glass sponge.

Here are some of the more unusual marine creatures spotted during a recent NOAA mission.
