Dalston House, Installation Lets Visitors Experience the Illusion of Climbing a House

The interactive installation “Dalston House” allows visitors to scale the facade of a London townhouse without fear of falling to the ground below. The installation consists of the facade of a house laying flat on the ground. A mirror suspended above allows visitors to watch themselves “climbing” the house. “Dalston House” was created by Argentinian artist Leandro Erlich and commissioned by the Barbican. It is on outdoor display in London’s Hackney borough through August 4, 2013. Back in 2012 we posted about “Bâtiment”, an earlier illusion installation by Ehrlich.
