Colorblind Man Experiences True Color for the First Time Thanks to a Birthday Present of Special Corrective Lenses

In a moving video posted by Katherine Empey, her colorblind brother Petey experiences true color for the first time after opening his birthday present of corrective EnChroma sunglasses (previously). He quickly becomes emotional after seeing the color of his daughter’s eyes for the first time and experiencing the color of the world around him.

The lenses work by blocking a narrow band of color between red and green, providing enough distinction between the colors that a colorblind person can differentiate between them.
