Color-Changing Pfeffer’s Flamboyant Cuttlefish at the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California

Pfeffer’s flamboyant cuttlefish (Metasepia pfefferi) show off their vibrant color-change camouflage and pugnacious attitudes in this short video from the Monterey Bay Aquarium. In addition to their color-changing ability, the little cephalopods are notable for their curious habit of “walking” on fins and arms along the ocean floor. Pfeffer’s flamboyant cuttlefish are on display at the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s ongoing special exhibit, Tentacles.
