CBS Announces CBS All Access, A Stand-Alone Online Streaming Service

CBS All Access

Less than a day after HBO announced plans to offer a stand-alone streaming service, CBS has followed suit, revealing its CBS All Access service. The $5.99 a month offering will bring a live feed of local stations to 14 markets in the United States at launch, marking the first time a traditional network has made such a subscription service available online. CBS chief executive Les Moonves insists that the service will be integral to the network’s future.

It is an important part of our future. Our job is to do the best content we can and let people enjoy it in whatever way they want. The world is heading in that direction.
