The ever-forthright Carrie Fisher and her wonderful dog Gary recently sat for an interview with Amy Robach of Good Morning America to talk about her latest role as “General Leia” in the highly anticipated upcoming film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, 38 years after she played Princess Leia in the original 1977 Star Wars film. Throughout the interview, the entertainingly plain-spoken actress made fun of herself, complimented the host (“Your parents mated well – please congratulate them.”) and heartily encouraged fans to see the film, consulting with a slightly bored Gary every once in a while. Needless to say, no one, neither host nor crew nor audience, could keep a straight face.
