Canadian LEGO enthusiast and artist Chris McVeigh (aka “Powerpig“) has created the fantastic series titled Brick Sketches which features pop culture characters recreated in LEGO. You can more Brick Sketches on Flickr.
At 12×16 studs, they’re quite small and that makes it a real challenge to represent the characters using plates and tiles. There are currently nine in the series, and I’ve got a dozen more in development. I got the idea to do these brick sketches after a number of my artist friends starting produced incredible marker sketches on small 4″x 6″ card stock.
