Brave Documentarian Eats a 153 Year-Old Hardtack Cracker From the American Civil War

Historical documentarian Steven1989, who bravely unboxes and eats aged military rations, consumed a 153-year old Hardtack cracker from an American Civil War MRE. It was the oldest thing he’s ever eaten, but certainly not the worst.

It smells like old moth balls and like library books. …tastes like, tastes exactly the way it smells. Like mothballs and old library books. …that’s not very good. Well what is hard tack anyway? It’s a thick cracker made of flour water and occasionally some salt. …Is it the worst thing ever eaten? No, I’ve had biscuits over 65 years newer that were worse than this.
