Body Crash, 17 Painted People Form Sculpture of Crashed Car

Body Crash by Emma Hack

Australian artist Emma Hack created this astonishing body art sculpture of a crashed car, entitled “Body Crash.” The sculpture is made of 17 people—they were painted and photographed by Hack and her team in a process that took 18 hours (see this making-of video). Bodybuilders and athletes formed the body of the car while the smashed front section was played by acrobats. “Body Crash” is part of an Australian road safety campaign sponsored by the Motor Accident Commission. We recently wrote about Hack’s body painted human motorcycles.
