Beetles Kill Los Angeles Pine Tree Memorial to Beatle George Harrison

George Harrison Tree

A pine tree planted in Griffith Park in Los Angeles in honor of late Beatles guitarist George Harrison in 2004 has been killed by an infestation of beetles. The tree, which grew to 10 feet and bore a plaque dedicated to the Traveling Wilbury, will be replaced with a sapling at an unspecified future date.
