Beautiful Footage of a Helicopter Ride From New Jersey Over the Frozen Hudson River Into Manhattan

On February 20, 2015, Albert Lee took a gorgeous helicopter ride over the frozen Hudson River as the buildings of New York City were being bathed in beautiful orange light from the setting sun. Lee was heading back to Manhattan from Newark Liberty Airport on Liberty Helicopter, who offers “crowdsourced helicopter flights between Manhattan & Hamptons, JFK, Newark or Teterboro.”

Earlier that same day, Lee had taken another ride on the Liberty, heading out to JFK Airport from the West 30th Street Heliport.

An early morning departure from the W. 30th St Heliport, en route to JFK using Blade Bounce, flown on Liberty Helicopter. A brisk 9 deg F outside, with the Hudson River frozen over below.
