Banksy Creates Street Art Among the Ruins in War-Torn Gaza

Banksy

Street artist Banksy (previously) traveled through a series of hidden tunnels, making his way to the fenced-off Gaza region of Palestine, to leave his mark on a wall amidst the area’s warn-torn ruins. The anonymous artist left behind a series of instantly recognizable graffiti and documented the trip with the short video, “Make This The Year YOU Discover a New Destination,” a faux travel film aimed at highlighting the plight of Gaza citizens.

A local man came up and said ‘Please–what does this mean?’ I explained I wanted to highlight the destruction in Gaza by posting photos on my website–but on the internet people only look at pictures of kittens.
