Australian Surfer Rides the Waves Without the Use of His Legs And Limited Use of His Arms

Barney Miller is an Australian surfer who lost the use of his legs and has limited use of his arms due to a spinal cord injury. Despite all that, he surfs masterfully as seen in this video by Red Bull.

Barney Miller, gives an inside look into what his daily life is like living with a spinal cord injury. Filmed in Australia, this quadriplegic surfer shows how he continues to persevere to reach his goals of dancing at his wedding in 2015 and eventually walk again. Miller splits his time between New South Wales, Australia and Carlsbad, CA

Barney is also the subject of the film, No Means Go, by Trinity Films LLC.

If that’s not enough, Barney recently announce that he is an ambassador for the Wings for Life World Run, a race to raise money for spinal cord injury research.

The Wings for Life World Run is a first of its kind running race organized to raise awareness and funds for spinal cord injury research. The event will take place on May 4, 2014 in 35 different locations around the world, simultaneously. One hundred percent of registration fees go directly to the Wings for Life.
