The Portuguese Man O’ War, An Organism Made Up of Many Smaller Organisms Working Together

The Portuguese man o’ war is a jellyfish-like creature that is both dangerous and complicated. As host Michael Aranda explains in an episode of SciShow, Portuguese men o’ war are not one single organism. They are what is known as siphonophores, creatures that appear to be one single organism that are actually made up of many smaller organisms called zooids working together.
