On a recent visit to Washington D.C., Polish artist and prolific yarn-bomber Olek wrapped a statue of Albert Einstein in colorful yarn. Olek is featured in “40 under 40: Craft Futures,” an exhibition of craft artists at the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum in D.C.

Olek has previously crochet-bombed the Wall St. Bull, a bike under the Brooklyn Bridge, an entire studio apartment and the Astor Place cube.
