Rocketskates are a series of electric roller skates by Los Angeles-based hardware startup Acton that slip over a pair of shoes and let the wearer travel at speeds of up to 12 miles per hour. As with Heelys, the wearer shifts their weight to the back of their foot to use the skates or can walk around (relatively) normally with the skates on their feet. The skates can be purchased through cataloger Hammacher Schlemer.
