AAA Study Finds Distraction Is a Bigger Cause of Teen Car Accidents Than Previously Suspected

A new study done by AAA has found that distraction plays a much bigger role in causing teen car accidents than previously suspected. The study utilized video footage taken from in-vehicle event recorders and found that 58% of accidents were the result of the teen drivers being distracted. Previous estimates believed only 14% of accidents were caused by distraction.

AAA has released a compilation of some of the accidents studied.
