A Well-Mannered Alligator Attempts to Ring the Doorbell of a Suburban South Carolina Home

A home in Moncks Corner, South Carolina had a very unusual polite alligator at their front door who seemed to be trying to ring the front doorbell. Unfortunately for the alligator, but fortunately for the homeowner, no one was to be home at the time. Neighbor Danielle Barkin captured video of the alligator trying to gain entry and a witness to the incident told WCIV ABC4 News that the alligator tried to climb a fence into the backyard.

I didn’t know alligators could actually climb. And this alligator looked like he was really trying to make an attempt to get over the fence and into this woman’s pool in the backyard. And then when it went over to the house it kind of was up around the doorbell.
