A ‘Walking Dead’ LEGO Stop-Motion Animated Short in Which Daryl Dixon Investigates Smoke in the Forest

Filmmaker Marc-Andre Caron (a.k.a. “MonsieurCaron“) has created a great stop-motion animated LEGO short based on AMC‘s hit television series The Walking Dead in which Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) investigates smoke that he sees in the forest. We have previously written about MonsieurCaron’s LEGO versions of the 1984 Ghostbusters film and Simpsons couch gag.

What happen when Daryl Dixon see some smoke in the forest ? Will he investigate it ? Is there any walkers over there? This short LEGO brickfilm use the very rare Zombie Hunter Enthusiast minifigure made with genuine LEGO bricks by Citizen Brick as well as custom zombies head and a collection of more than 250 000 LEGO bricks. It’s not really a Walking Dead story, more of an homage to Norman Reedus character and the zombie genre.

It took one full month to MonsieurCaron to complete building, filming and editing over 3000 photos to make this brickfilm in his LEGO studio in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Québec, Canada. Shot on a Canon Rebel T3 using DragonFrame and edited with Adobe CS6 on a MacBook Pro 15 inchs. For those who asked: 15 image per second.
