The 2014vChristmas ad for the United Kingdom department store chain John Lewis tells a touching story about a boy, his penguin, and sharing love. The penguin star of the ad is named Monty, and John Lewis has released a children’s book, an app for iOS and Android, and even a 360° panoramic environment set in Monty’s world.
Last year, John Lewis released a similarly touching ad for Christmas about a hare and bear who are friends.
The ad features a beautiful cover of The Beatles‘ song “Real Love” by Tom Odell. For comparison, here is The Beatles’ version of “Real Love.”
