A Man Builds a Modern $230,000 Home Into a 700-Year-Old Sandstone Cave

In 2015, Angelo Mastropietro built a modern $230,000 home into a 700-year-old sandstone cave in rural Worcestershire, England. Mastropietro estimates that he excavated around 70 to 80 tons of rubble from the site to complete his renovation.

The house, named Rockhouse, is now available for curious travelers to rent for the night with modern amenities.
