A hypnotic video by Tractorspotter shows a tulip farmer topping (removing the flower heads from) tulips in a field in the Netherlands. This process also removes the seedpod, which would sap energy from the developing bulb if it were left on the plant. Weeks later, the bulbs are removed from the ground, cleaned, dried, temperature treated, and stored for fall planting.
