When filmmaker Ignas Meilunas was asked to quickly create a short animation for the “Nuits en Or 2016” festival without a budget, he brilliantly came up with the truly charming “MR NIGHT HAS A DAY OFF”. The film personifies night as an anthropomorphic creature who changes light into his beloved darkness with just a simple touch.
Why the night is changing the day? When you don’t like something, you change it. A zero budget short story i was asked to do by “Nuits en Or 2016” festival. Done in 21 day in Summer 2016. Shot in Vilnius, Lithuania.
