70th Annual Tony Awards Hosted James Corden, Featuring Hamilton & Many Amazing Performances

On June 12, 2016, the stars of Broadway gathered at the Beacon Theater in New York City to celebrate the 70th Annual Tony Awards. Host James Corden opened the show with a short monologue and a touching number of his own. Shows such as School of Rock, Bright Star, Fiddler on the Roof, and The Color Purple were celebrated. But the true star of the evening was the highly acclaimed, break-out historical musical Hamilton, which won an astonishing 11 awards.
