30 NYC Subway Stations Newly Equipped With Wireless Service

NYC Subway

Today New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced 30 subway stations newly equipped with wireless service. Wi-Fi and cellphone service at these stations is currently limited to AT&T and T-Mobile customers, but Verizon and Sprint are currently in negotiations to bring service to their customers later this year. Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Lincoln Center, Columbus Circle, and 25 other stations throughout New York City join the ranks of the first six connected stations announced in late 2011. To view the full list of connected stations, take a look at this press release from New York Governor’s office.
