The California Preservation Program digitized some truly fascinating 16mm footage of the Tower Records on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, California shot in 1971. The film, set to the song “Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)” by San Francisco funk group Sly and the Family Stone, features boxes and boxes of vinyl records being unloaded on the floor. The iconic store was shut down in 2006.
