XCOM: The Board Game is a board game by Fantasy Flight Games, based on the video game franchise of the same name, about fending off an alien invasion. Specifically, the board game appears to take many cues and key art assets from the 2012 video game XCOM: Enemy Unknown. The board game puts up to four players in roles like Commander and Chief Scientist and uses a digital companion app to escalate the alien invasion as time goes on.
